Chilling home surveillance video shows masked man robbing mother with children in house
An armed burglar robbing a mother at gunpoint in her home while her children were asleep upstairs has been caught on camera.
Cheryl Mathys was at her home in Rittman, Ohio, early on Thursday morning when a masked man burst into the property and pointed a gun to her head.
CCTV footage shows the intruder grabbing her by the arm and marching her around the home while her four daughters, aged between eight and 21, were asleep upstairs, ABC 5 Cleveland reported.
Three of the girls woke during the home invasion at about 3.15am as the man demanded the mother give him whatever money she had.
One of the girls fled the home through a bedroom window before alerting a nearby neighbour of the horrifying ordeal.
The intruder eventually left through the back door with the little cash Ms Mathys had on her.
Police are investigating the incident but are yet to locate the offender.
