Uber passenger stranded after driver tests positive for meth
An Uber driver has tested positive for meth after being stopped by police in a random alcohol and drugs test leaving his passenger without a ride.
Breath and Drug Bus Operations pulled the male driver over outside St Joachim's School in Victoria Park, Perth, at about 1.30pm on Sunday.
The driver of the red Hyundai Accent tested negative to cannabis while methylamphetamine was detected in his system.
"There will be a nervous wait to find out the results of a formal chemical analysis of the roadside sample he provided," a spokesperson told Fairfax Media.
