The disturbance appears to be temperamental and corrects itself when the loudspeaker setting is used.

Apple has confirmed there is an issue with a number of handsets following a series of complaints from disgruntled customers, according to The Verge.

The company claims to be working on the issue and will be sending out a software update to fix the problem once it has been identified.

Users of the latest addition to the iPhone family are able to enjoy brand new features including wireless charging and a significantly improved camera.
