Air force jets spotted out window spook passengers on Spanish flight
Passengers on a flight from Spain to the UK were alarmed when they spotted an air force fighter jet tailing their plane on the weekend.
Jet2 flight 1204, a Boeing 737-800, was passing through French air space on its way from Malaga to Birmingham, according to News Corp.
Aviation news website AirLive reported that’s when two Mirage 2000 jet appeared and followed the aircraft for more than 15 minutes.
Passenger Sarah Hatfield told the BBC the jet was “so close” she could “read the writing on its tail fin”.
"Someone spotted the French jet and told the cabin crew, who I presume told the Jet2 pilots,” she said.
"The air stewardess then announced there was nothing to worry about.”
Ms Hatfield said the announcement did little to ease passenger’s nerves, as there was “a mixture of excitement at seeing the fighter so close up and terror as to if we were about to get shot down”.

A Jet2 spokesperson said the airline was still trying to determine why military aircraft was tracking the flight.
But according to AirLive, the flight was being tracked by the French Air Force due to a loss of communication.
