Barcelona terror: Horrified witness posts video of aftermath of attack
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT. Horrific footage showing the aftermath of the Barcelona terror attack has been shared by terrified witnesses.
A white Fiat van sped down the Las Ramblas pedestrian strip on Thursday afternoon, killing 13 and leaving more than 100 strewn across the footpath with a range of injuries.
A short video filmed by a witness walking down the tourist strip after the attack shows at least six bodies surrounded by blood.
People can be seen screaming and running to safety as paramedics treat those injured on the street.
More than 80 people were hospitalised after the terror attack and Spanish police confirmed they had arrested two suspects. At least three Australians were among the injured.
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
“The perpetrators of the Barcelona attack are soldiers of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls for targeting coalition states,” the group’s Amaq propaganda news agency said.

"It’s tragic, I saw people on the ground who had been run over and other people running and crying," hotel worker Rebeca said.
"The van drove down the centre running over everyone."
