Person critical, another trapped, in Victorian light plane crash

A person is in critical condition, while another remains trapped after a suspected light aircraft crash in Victoria on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to a report of an incident involving a light plane at 10.40am in Clyde North, southeast of Melbourne.

One person appears to be in a critical condition, however details of their injuries are not yet known.

A second person, believed to be a man in his 20s, remains trapped in the plane.

It appears he suffered facial, chest and spinal injuries as a result of the incident, an ambulance spokesperson confirmed.

He is in a serious but stable condition at this stage.

Ambulance Victoria is on the scene and two air ambulance helicopter have also been dispatched.
