'Help, I'm stuck': Repair man rescued after locking himself inside ATM

A man has been rescued after he got stuck inside an ATM in Texas.

Corpus Christi Police said the man, a contractor, was working on the machine on North Mesquite Street when he accidentally locked himself inside.

According to Kris6News, the man was trying to change a lock inside the room, which connects to the ATM.

With few options on how to get out, the man wrote a note on a receipt slot asking someone for help.

Police said some people thought it was a joke.

Officer Gena Pena said no one could hear the man trapped inside either and several officers had to kick the door in to rescue him.

It is unknown how long he was stuck inside the machine but senior officer Richard Olden said it’s a situation “you will probably never see or hear again”.

"Everyone is okay, but you will never see this in your life, that somebody was stuck in the ATM, it was just crazy,” he said.
