US woman arrested for drug possession demands drugs back, gets arrested again

A US woman arrested over drug possession went back to the police station to demand the return of her drugs before being arrested again.

Police said Emily Morin, 22, of Concord, New Hampshire was told she wouldn’t get her Suboxone back, according to Nh1.com.

Suboxone is a highly addictive drug that can be used to treat heroin addiction.

Police said they seized the drug after they arrested Morin over a shoplifting incident at a Macy’s Department Store on Tuesday.

She was also driving on a suspended licence and registration.

Morin was released on $US2500 bail but less than five hours later she returned with a friend and asked officer Andrew Feolo to give her back the drug.

He refused as the drug was being used as evidence.

The officer then watched as Morin got back into the same car with licence and registration still suspended, and informed her she was under arrest.
