WATCH: Woman faints in shock after breaking $57K bracelet

A tourist has reportedly fainted in shock after dropping a $57,000 jade bracelet at a market in China causing it to snap in half.

The woman was visiting the Jade City markets in south western China on Tuesday when she dropped the expensive piece of jewellery and footage shows her appear to collapse to the ground after she was told how much it cost.

Her family placed her on the ground and after she recovered, witnesses said they offered the vendor $13,000, but were refused, according to the Daily Mail.

Footage shows the woman unresponsive in the busy market as members of her family held her up.

After the seller reportedly refused to accept $13,000 from the devastated family, the bracelet was taken to a valuer.

The expert valued the jewellery at just under $35,000 and the family agreed to pay the amount.
