The man was immediately taken to hospital, suffering serious burns to his body including first and second degree burns to his back and hip.

It's understood the man was in pain on Monday but had been released.

Police originally investigating were not able to extensively question witnesses on Sunday because partygoers were still too intoxicated.

Officers have since conducted interviews, however, the man has not made a complaint.
