Cold chicken carnage: Mother and daughter assaulted as irate customers 'go berserk'

Shocking footage has revealed the moment a mother and daughter were attacked by customers at their family restaurant who reportedly complained about 'cold chicken.'

Jeanette Norris, from Georgia in the United States, said she refunded the couple's money after their complained about their meals at her Qwick Chik restaurant on Thursday, but said they the went "berserk," according to WTOC-TV.

Footage shows Ms Norris having a conversation with a man in the car park before a woman runs over from their car and repeatedly punches her in the head.

Ms Norris falls to the ground during the attack and her 15-year-old daughter can be seen in the footage jumping out of a car to confront the couple.

Just before they leave, the man punches the teenager in the face and she lands on a pile of cardboard boxes.

The young girl then stands to find her mother before breaking down in tears as bystanders rush over to help.

"Who does that? Who punches a child like she's a grown man standing there?" Ms Norris said after the attack.

The mother suffered a broken nose in the attack and her daughter was left with a black eye.
