Susan Boyle victim of 'disgusting' abuse by teens

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle has reportedly become the victim of a number of vicious attacks from a gang of teenagers in her neighbourhood.

The Mirror reports a spokesman for the 56-year-old singer said he was planning on calling police for her protection.

It follows reports the singer was hounded by a gang of up to 15 teens, mainly boys, who prey on her near her home.

In one incident, the group reportedly set fire to paper and threw it at her.

Two other incidents saw the teens reportedly throw stones at her while she sat on a bus and called her an “old, ugly bitch” when she visited the Mil Centre shopping mall near her home in Blackburn, West Lothian.

Ms Boyle has Asperger syndrome, which affects her ability to make sense of the world and process information.

But her neighbours insist she isn’t the only victim of group’s “disgusting” behaviour.

“They’re known to the community. They set the children’s park on fire, they put fireworks through somebody’s door, they threw eggs at a wee girl’s window,” the concerned neighbour said.

"They pick on the most vulnerable people. If there is more than one person they won’t do it – because they are too scared.
"It’s old people, children, mentally ill people. It’s really disgusting.”

Ms Boyle lives in the three-bedroom former council house, which she grew up in.

She bought it soon after finishing second on Britain's Got Talent in 2009.
