WATCH: Teen girl punches man in daylight UK sex attack
Police in the UK have redoubled their efforts to find a man after a 13-year-old girl was reportedly indecently assaulted in the UK.
The scary moment the terrified teen manages to fight off the alleged sex attacker was captured by nearby CCTV, released this week after earlier public appeals failed.
The disturbing attack occurred in broad daylight.
In the vision the man can be seen at first slowly following the unsuspecting teen.
However, he eventually catches up with her, before striking up a conversation.
Seemingly wanting to avoid contact the teen crosses the street.
It’s then the man sprints after the teen and shockingly grabs her from behind.
The brave teen then manages to punch him before quickly making a fast get-a-way on foot.
The man can then be spotted also running away from the scene of the incident, past a row of hedges.
According to local police the alleged attacker is described as Asian, approximately 20 years old, black hair with a slim build.
"This is a shocking incident where a 13-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted by a man who caught up with her as she walking along the pavement and began to talk to her. Thankfully she was able to fight the man off and run away,” DC Lisa Bennett, of Burnley CID, said according to The Mirror.
"Our investigation remains on-going and we are really keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or recognises the man pictured in the footage.
"It is vital that we trace this man and if you can help us with our enquiries, then please get in touch with us as soon as possible."
The horrific incident occurred in Blackburn, Lancashire, at around 7pm on Wednesday June 14.
