A Sydney teen has spoken of a terrifying 43-hour ordeal, where she was allegedly kidnapped from her home, assaulted and forced to marry a man in a secret Islamic ceremony.

The 18-year-old has told 7 News of how the horror only ended when police pulled over her alleged abductor, as he tried to drive her to Melbourne.

Seven News was taken to the room where the teenager was allegedly abducted from.

The courageous teen said she felt safe enough to tell her story.

Police say the accused is a 33-year-old distant family friend.

It’s claimed at 2am on Sunday he allegedly forced the young aspiring lawyer out of her bedroom window.

It’s claimed the teen was taken to the Novotel at Brighton Le Sands, where they spent all day on Sunday and Sunday night.

“It was scary, like, I just wanted to come back home to my family. I wanted to come back home,” she said.

“My message oh. I can't stand him, I want to kill him,” when asked what she’d say to her alleged captor.

It’s further alleged after leaving the Novotel, the teen was forced to go with her abductor to a home in Lakemba, where in an Islamic ceremony conducted by a sheik she was forced to marry the man.

By Monday police said the teen had been held against her will for more than 30 hours.

It’s alleged she was then driven south towards Melbourne, with the pair travelling almost 400km.

Police pulled them over on the Hume Highway at Gundagai about 9pm Monday night after the young woman made a call for help.

The accused didn’t apply for bail on Tuesday. He will return to court on Wednesday facing charges of sexual assault and kidnapping.
