Dad killed, son injured in alleged 30-person knife brawl

A father has been killed and his son left injured after an alleged 30-person knife brawl broke out at a Murwillumbah Park in what has been described as "all out war".

Just before 12.30pm Tuesday, police were called to Knox Park at Prince Street about 12km south of the Queensland border, after reports of fighting.

Emergency services arrived quickly to the scene to find men lying on the ground bleeding.

Paramedics did what they could to help one man but he later died in hospital.

One man is heard in footage of the alleged incident saying: "Give us that bottle Kel".

Two others were also taken to hospital suffering stab wounds.

One man is heard saying "F*** cover it, I'm bleeding like a motherf***er" in footage.

Witnesses also claim sticks and poles were allegedly used as weapons.

Ripped shirts and bloodied towels littered the street as the fight drew to a close.

It is not clear how the fight started. A 32-year-old man has since been charged and will face court on Wednesday.
