Man arrested at Manchester shopping centre hours after Ariana Grande concert blast
A man has been arrested following the evacuation of a major shopping centre in Manchester, according to reports.
Reuters reports the man's arrest was not connected to the bombing at the Manchester Arena hours earlier, which killed 22 people.
Earlier the Arndale Shopping Centre was evacuated over reports witnesses heard a 'big bang.'
"There are people coming out holding hands," a Reuters photographer said.
A Reuters witness said “scores of people” had fled the building.
The evacuation of the Arndale shopping centre came just hours after a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured 59 in the same area of the city at Manchester Arena during the Ariana Grande concert.
The centre has since been reopened.
