Manchester united: City rallies for blast victims with offerings of food and shelter
Manchester residents have banded together in the wake of what is being treated as a terrorist attack at an Ariana Grande concert where at least 19 people were killed and 59 injured.
Those affected by what is believed to be a fatal explosion at the Manchester Arena have been offered lifts, food, shelter and places to sleep by strangers moved by the tragedy.
The #roomsformanchester hashtag is trending on social media as the community's generosity outpours following the incident.
One woman, Rebecca Ellen Rose, who has offered her spare couch and blankets tweeted "Nobody should have to go through this alone."
Creative hub and arts venue 53Two, in Deansgate’s underground arches, said the kettle was on for those seeking shelter while they awaited further news.
