Photographer spends six hours capturing wrong wedding proposal
After waking at 2.30am and hiking up a mountain with 13kg of equipment, a photographer has captured a boyfriend's romantic sunrise proposal - it just wasn't of the man who hired him.
Jacob Peters was hired to photograph a man’s romantic wedding proposal at a scenic cliff that overlooks the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas.
Spotting the pair at the agreed location, Mr Peters saw the boyfriend lower onto one knee and began snapping away for that perfect shot.
Satisfied with his images, he packed up, returned home and sent the man a congratulatory message on his successful proposal.
That’s when he received a reply from the man apologising for being more than an hour late.
“Basically I spent six and half hours, $40 in gas and food, 450 photos, and took the wrong couple’s photos,” Mr Peters wrote.
His efforts were not in vain though. After sharing his story online, the mystery couple were identified.
“I can’t believe what I’m seeing,” the soon-to-be groom wrote.
“My fiancé is going nuts seeing this. She even got goose bumps over this.”
Free of charge, he sent the couple the right photos of their milestone moment.
“Thank you to everyone who shared,” Peters wrote.
“The internet never fails to amaze me.”
