Pilot cleared over video of him 'hitting' a woman during airport scuffle
A YouTube video has emerged of a pilot appearing to hit a woman as he tries to break up a fight between two women in the US.
The Delta Airlines pilot intervened after the flight had landed when a scuffle broke out between two women in the terminal.
The pair wrestle on the ground as the pilot approaches.
He appears to try to separate the pair but grapples with one of the women.
With his hand grasped around her wrist he appears to smack her before he walks off.
The video skips ahead and the pilot is then seen trying to calm the pair down again.
“Stop,” he says.
He repeatedly asks the pair to stop as they get to their feet.
The New York Daily News reports Delta suspended the pilot from duty after the video surfaced.
But he has since returned to work after investigators found his actions de-escalated a situation.
The video emerges just weeks after United Airlines made headlines for booting a passenger from an overbooked flight.
