Gordon Ramsay 'gets fingers stuck in blender' on TV

Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay shocked a TV talk show audience when he appeared to trap his fingers in a blender.

Ramsay was appearing on UK television programme The Nightly Show on Monday when his seemingly innocent attempt at making a smoothie caused the scare.

While he was demonstrating how to make the drink for comedian Frank Skinner he led the audience, and everyone around him, to believe the blender wasn’t working.

Ramsay stuck his hand in the blender while producers rushed to the stage to fix the appliance.

When the machine was turned on with the celebrity chef's hand still inside, he fell to the floor screaming his trademark expletives.

“I told you to wait,” Ramsay yelled as he lay on the studio floor in apparent agony.

But all was not as it seemed, and Ramsay quickly revealed he had fooled the audience and show's guests.

“Got you!” he screamed at the studio audience, “and got you as well,” he said to Skinner as he jumped to his feet revealing the disaster was actually a prank.
