'People need to see': Woman suffering overdose filmed unconscious in car

This is what heroin abuse looks like and it’s not pretty, it’s shocking and some would say very uncomfortable.

Confronting vision has surfaced of a woman shortly after ‘shooting up’ the potentially lethal and highly additive drug.

The woman who was videotaped while lying unconscious behind the wheel of her car after crashing it into another car has since spoken out.

Katrina Henry from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was filmed earlier in the week merely moments after she overdosed while behind the wheel of her vehicle.

“It makes me sick,” Henry told CBS 58 of her reaction when watching herself almost die.

“That's not me. I would never do something like that.”

The video, which was taken by fellow motorist Jon Adams just after she had crashed into a parked car has since gone viral on social media.

According to FOX, Adams said he felt for a pulse and in the minutes before help arrived, then he began recording the harsh reality of drug abuse.

"This is what people need to see. They need to see what happens when you do (expletive) like this," Adams told FOX.

"She could have easily died. She could have killed somebody else.

“That would have been a worst-case scenario. I mean, I was hoping the video got back to her and maybe she could see what she was doing to herself. Maybe that might wake her up."

Adams revealed to FOX he is sharing the video to reach those who need help.

"I just want people to see the rawness of it. That was what it was," Adams told FOX.

According to FOX when emergency crews arrived on scene, witnesses said they administered Narcan, which counteracts the overdose.

Within a short time, the woman was reportedly revived and walked with assistance to an ambulance.

Henry admitted she hopes the video serves as an example to others to get help.

“Admit it and go get help,” she told another US outlet.

“You don't have to be ashamed of yourself.”
