Man rescued from side of cliff on North Stradbroke Island

A rescue operation was underway to assist a man stuck in a crevice at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island in Queensland this afternoon.

Emergency services attended the scene to assist the stranded man.

He has since been taken to safety QFES confirmed to 7 News Online.

In a separate incident emergency services are currently responding to reports a person is stuck on Mount Beerwah, on the Sunshine Coast.

Early reports suggest that a person is stuck on Mount Beerwah and is too scared to come back down the mountain.

The walker is stuck on northern side of the mountain.
