Mother's plea against taking ecstasy after daughter left in coma

A distressing post by a mother in Greater Manchester in the UK, which shows her daughter in hospital after taking what is believed to be an ecstasy pill, has been shared more than 1,600 times on Facebook.

The woman, Kerry Robinson, posted about the terrifying incident and said her teenage daughter had been "put in a coma cos she took an ecstasy and she in a bad way (sic)."

"Plz let there b a God and Leah be ok , I love her so much xxxx (sic)," Ms Robinson wrote before sharing a picture of her 16-year-old in hospital on the social networking site.

In the caption alongside the photo the mother pleaded with people not to take the drugs.

Kerry Robinson said: "This is what ecstasy does wen u take them , my baby girl , plz b ok xxx plz don't take them xx (sic)"

The Daily Mail reports the teenager became ill after attending a local party at Christmas time and taking what is believed to be ecstasy.

Many people had sent their well wishes online and had hoped the teenager made a speedy recovery.

Later that day, the mother posted some good news following the fright.

She wrote: "She goin to be ok , Iv seen her and she talkin and thanks every one for sendin messages , I hope no other kids AV any more ov the tablets wats goin around xx (sic)"

The mother had hoped others would think before taking pills, when she shared the pictures at the end of last year.

She replied to one user who commented, saying: "She was hypothermia aswell and she's very lucky they got to her in time , I hope kids will think twice ov takin these pills x"
