Cadaver dogs used in search for missing mum Karen Ristevski

Victoria Police are using specialist cadaver dogs to search properties in rural areas in the hunt for missing Melbourne mother Karen Ristevski.

The 47-year-old has not been seen since she left her $1.1 million Avondale Heights home on June 29, after an argument with her husband, Borce.

Police have concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out-of-character and she has not used her bank accounts or phone since.

Earlier reports suggested Mrs Ristevski's phone was reportedly tracked near Gisborne, 40km northwest of their home, while her husband's was tracked on the same highway, at Diggers Rest, about 20km northwest of the home.

It was also reported that her phone was switched off for about two hours that day.

In September, a resident who lives near the Ristevski home gave authorities CCTV footage that was taken from a camera positioned outside her house.

The footage is believed to show a car that resembles the one owned by Ms Ristevski on the day she disappeared.

But the video may be too blurry to determine who the driver of the vehicle is or if there is another person in the car.

Mrs Ristevski is described as 160cm tall, slim build, shoulder length brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans and it is believed she had a Coach handbag and a Coach purse with her.

The Herald Sun reports Mr Ristevski has told family members he thinks an evil stranger is behind his wife’s disappearance.
