He was charged with 160 offences over a six month honing spree last year.

On Wednesday he pleaded guilty to 40 of those changes.

They included driving while disqualified 20 times, driving in a dangerous manner 11 times, and reckless conduct endangering injury.

Police said he also taunted officers and led them on four pursuits.

For his punishment, the 25-year-old was given an 18-month community corrections order.

He also lost his licence for three years.

Shaw had been facing a maximum of five years in jail.

On one occasion he rode at nearly 300kph on the Monash Freeway, three times the legal speed limit of 100kph.

The court was told that Shaw was being treated for mental health issues and was seeking to disassociate himself from bad influences.

One of the special conditions of Dylan Shaw’s sentence was that his motorbike would be released from a police impound, but he has undertaken to sell it and use the money to support his family.

Shaw was also fined $900 and convicted for breaching another community corrections order.
