Gun fight-themed 'mannequin challenge' video leads to the arrest of two men

A gun fight-themed "mannequin challenge" video showing 19 men re-enacting a drive-by shooting went viral online and later led to the arrest of two men in the US.

The video was posted to Facebook by Hailey Nichols on November 9 and was sent to Madison County Sheriff's Office who launched an investigation.

Officers obtained a search warrant on Tuesday and tore down the door of a Huntsville, Alabama home.

There were six people inside the home, including children, when the team seized two handguns, a shotgun, a rifle, body armour, ammo and marijuana that was apparently packaged for sale.

The warrant also led to the arrest of Terry Martez Brow, 23, and Kenneth Fennell White, 49, who reportedly featured in the video.

In the video, 19 men were armed with a terrifying cache of weapons and posed in the freeze-framed "shootout" stance.

Some people were on their mobile phones pretending to shoot as others leaned against a wall with their assault rifle's pointed toward the road.

Captain Mike Salomonsky told Fox News: "There are several persons in the video who may be convicted felons.

"So, we're going to try to do some identification, work with the ATF and see if we can generate any charges out of that."

He said authorities expect to carry out at least one or two more arrests as the investigation continues.

White was charged with first-degree marijuana possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The video has been viewed more than four million views on Facebook.
