'Somebody want to collect their maw?': Subway sleeper selfies go viral

A man's unusual encounter with a sleeping woman on public transport in Glasgow has sent the internet into a spin.

Euan McMillan, 20, from Bathgate, West Lothian, took to social media to share his experience with a woman who seemed to take a nap using him as a headrest.

Mr McMillan posted two selfies online and claims the woman had been sleeping on him for some time.

He posted the pictures on social media with the caption: "Somebody want to collect there maw? (sic)".

"Been sleeping on me for 15 mins on the subway."

According to the Mirror "maw" is another word for mum.

One of the pictures of the awkward experience appears to show the woman resting her head on his shoulder, but in the second it appears her head has slipped down to the man's chest.

The post has attracted more than 16,000 likes on Twitter and has been retweeted more than 4,000 times since it was uploaded on December 3.

Mr McMillan replied to one commenter: "honestly mate her pals were just allowing it as if it was normal I never says a hing"

A couple of Twitter users claimed the woman looked like a famous actress.

Most found the uncomfortable situation incredibly funny.

One wrote: "looks to me like she just thought you were fit and conjured up the best way to get a cuddle without being forward".

Yahoo7 News has attempted to contact Mr McMillan for further comment.
