Writer live tweets disastrous date to followers' delight

When a curious writer overheard a disastrous date unfolding in a restaurant she was dining at, she decided to live tweet the ordeal.

It is easy to see why their conversation sparked her interest and that of the twitterverse, with hundreds of people reacting to each tweet.

Kelly Fine, from New York, claims at the beginning of the night the man announced, "I don't look at menus. And I'm ordering for us."

Not only did he appear to declare that he is making the decisions, it seemed the man threw a tantrum about the restaurant's offerings, with Ms Fine's next tweet reading: "Now he's asking the sushi chefs if they have different fish. They don't have what he wants, which is "going to be a major problem.""

Throughout the conversation the smooth talker stated a few more times that he didn't look at menus when asking for different options.

Some Twitter users who were caught up in the engaging encounter thought the casanova's possible arrogance may be a cover for his inability to actually read.

One wrote: "Probably trying to cover up the fact that he's illiterate lol"

Another said: "I'm telling you, he is not able to read, or reads very poorly, and is unwilling to face it. I'd bet money."

Even if that were the case, the casanova still appears to seem slightly conceited.

According to the writer the man was speaking to the woman when she looked away for a moment and he allegedly said: "look at me. Don't look there, look at me."

The cringe worthy ordeal continues with Ms Fine claiming he slapped chopsticks out of the woman's hand when she was going to use them to eat sushi.

At this point in the conversation it seems that Ms Fine was thriving off the twitter attention and asked her followers if she should stay for dessert - joking if she should ask for a menu.

Another wrote: "Order ANYTHING"

While the twitter users were as enthralled in the couple's evening as Ms Fine seemed to be, one joked that she should introduce herself.

"@KellyeFine best to not let this one get away. But seriously thanks for the live tweet of that. Sounded amazing and terrible."

Maybe if Ms Fine was looking for endless material to cover she should keep this man by her side.
