Man tasered in Sydney hospital after trying to interfere with birth

An "aggressive" man was tasered by police after he allegedly interfered with staff trying to deliver a baby at a hospital in Sydney.

The 25-year-old man was reportedly acting aggressively toward staff who were assisting a woman in the birthing unit at Canterbury Hospital on Thursday night.

He allegedly refused to leave and staff were forced to relocated other patients and their families.

He was charged with 'behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school', 'stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal)', 'resist officer in execution of duty', and 'assault officer in execution of duty'.

The young man was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Friday.
