Motorbike riders held at gunpoint by US officials at 'secret entrance' to Area 51

Two curious motorbike riders who approached the border of the secretive Area 51 in the Nevada desert have been held at gunpoint by US security officers.

The ‘adventure travellers’ and YouTube bloggers recorded the trip down an apparent secret back entrance towards the remote Edwards Air Force Base.

Many believe the mysterious and heavily guarded area, the existence of which was previously denied by the US government, houses top-secret information regarding aliens and UFOs.

The duo come to a halt on the gravel road when they reach a post reading: WARNING: Restricted area.

In red letters, the sign warns that “use of deadly force” is authorised past that point.

Within 30 seconds of getting off their bikes, a white ute comes speeding down the road, a trail of dust flaring up behind it.

Two officials dressed in camouflaged clothing step out of the vehicle and walk towards the men as they draw their guns.

“Let me see your hands,” one of the officers says.

“Get your f***ing hands up I’m not going to tell you again,” the other orders.

The riders are ordered to turn around as the men approach to pat them down.

"Listen, we're gonna give you guys a chance to get on your bikes and get the f***out of here," one of the officers says, satisfied that the travellers pose no threat.

The companions quickly get back on their bikes and leave the scene.

“That was the most gnarly thing I've ever been in," one of the riders says as they ride away.

"That was crazy, he was so aggressive."
