7-Eleven worker explodes with rage at teen who 'overfilled Slurpee and made mess'

A 7-Eleven worker exploded with rage and snatched a cup from a Melbourne teen after claiming he had overfilled a Slurpee and made a mess.

Eli Tibballs filmed the confrontation inside the convenience store in Heathmont, Melbourne on Thursday afternoon and posted it to Facebook.

It is not unknown how or why the argument began but the owner's wife suggested it was because Tibballs had wasted slush while pouring his drink.

In the video, the man told Tibballs he could only have the drink if he paid for it first.

"I will just get another f*****g cup bro,” Tibballs replied and walked toward the machine to pour another one.

The store owner snatched the cup, placed it behind the counter and yelled at the teen to "get out!"

The agitated man then shouted hysterically at Tibballs and waved his finger in the teen's face.

The man's wife yelled out from the back room and told the teen her husband was angry because of wasted slush.

"What do you mean? Do you know how this f*****g Slurpee system works?" Tibballs said.

The teen asked the worker's wife what he did wrong before he provoked the man and they begin to argue again.

With a child in hand, the wife stepped out of the storeroom and began to argue with her husband in a foreign language.

She then gave Tibballs permission to go ahead and use the machine, at which point he lost his patience, swore at the woman and called her husband a "lunatic".

As told to do so by the wife, Tibballs opened one of the Slurpee taps but the owner rushed over and pulled all of the cups from the machine.

The woman and her husband got into another argument as Tibballs repeatedly asked over the top "what's wrong", insisting he has money to pay for the drink.

The teen leaves the store and the couple carry on arguing before the video cuts out.

Details haven’t emerged yet of what took place before filming began but a Chinese woman said she translated the argument between the husband and wife and claimed “there was more going on”.

"I speak their language and it tells me more was going on. Also the wife was really trying to minimise the impact and the husband only retreated when he did because she was saying for the sake of the child,” Mai Cui wrote on Facebook

However, Eli has maintained his innocence and claimed all he did was "squirt a little bit out and missed the cup".
