Heroic father rescues baby from out-of-control car

A quick thinking Manchester father has heroically saved the life of a baby, pulling a pram out of the path of an out-of-control car.

His reaction time, which could teach the Australian slips cordon a thing or two, was pivotal as the car mounted the footpath and ploughed through a local café.

He had been pushing the baby in a pram on the pavement near Tutku cafe in Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton, when the wayward sedan veered through a brick wall, injuring a café worker.

The worker suffered leg, foot and hand injuries, while a nearby real estate agency was also damaged in the crash.

“I don't even want to imagine what would have happened if it was a Saturday,” a shocked chef told the Manchester Evening News.

The café owner said that there is often more than twenty-people sitting in that area on weekends.
