Two students in hospital after being rescued from North Bondi surf

Two teenage boys have been taken to hospital after they were rescued by lifeguards at North Bondi.

The boys, aged around 15 years old, are believed to be part of a group of students travelling from Indonesia.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 12:30pm after the youths were seen "struggling" in the water, a police spokesperson said.

The group of seven reportedly weren't swimming between the flags at the time.

One of the students is in a critical condition at St Vincent's Hospital, while the other has been taken to Prince of Wales Children's Hospital.

Several others in the group are being assessed by paramedics at the scene.
