It all kicks off when Parkinson, now 81, asks: “You are, in quotes, a ’serious actress’.”

“In quotes?” Helen responds with a glare. “What do you mean in quotes? How dare you.”

“Serious actress,” he explains. “As opposed to an unserious actress.”

Helen visibly winces, but keeps listening.

Michael then awkwardly tries to blame other people for labeling the future Oscar winner this way, before asking a way more offensive question.

“Do you find it to be fact that, what could be best described as your equipment, hinders you in that pursuit [of being considered a serious actress]?” We, like Helen, presume at this point he's talking about her boobs.

“I’d like you to explain what you mean by my equipment in greater detail," she baits.

“Your physical attributes,” he explains.

“You mean my fingers?” she counters.

By the time he has finally spat out the word “figure”, Helen then asks, “Because serious actresses can’t have big bosoms, is that what you mean?”

“I think it might detract from the performance,” he says. “If you know what I mean.”

Helen then cocks her head back with what could only be described as a bucketload of sass and puts the interviewer firmly in his place.

“I can’t think that can necessarily be true,” she says. “I mean, what a crummy performance if people are obsessed with the size of your bosom or anything else.

“I would hope that the performance, the play, the living relationship between all the people on the stage, and all the people in the audience, overcame such boring questions.”
