'Keen for some hot action': Documents reveal sick texts of Melbourne man who travelled to US for sex with young boys

Leaked private conversations between an Australian rugby player and undercover agents disguised as pedophiles has revealed the athlete’s sickening desire for “hot action” with a six-year-old boy.

The disturbing confessions were made during online exchanges between 33-year-old Michael John Quinn and Homeland Security Agent Aaron McLellan, who posed as three separate pedophile ‘pervs’ to trap Quinn during a trip to the US.

Quinn was travelling around America with his rugby team in May when he was busted attempting to pay $260 in exchange for sex with a young boy.

In the documents, the conversation between the pair begins with a message from special agent McLellan to Quinn.

“Hello young man,” he wrote. “An Aussie aye? I have run across a couple of Aussie pervs on here recently. I guess the Aussies are waking from the winter slumber and looking to play. Ha Ha Ha… I think I might be ready for another round of fun. If you understand what I’m saying.”

Quinn, an accomplished geneticist who worked for a major IVF clinic in Victoria, responded by saying: “Yep - an Aussie fella here... I'm awake and very keen for some hot action”.

He also told the officers he was planning on visiting the US within the month and wanted to make plans to “meet up with a dad who shares his young ones”.

McLellan and his team told Quinn about a (fictional) man who had previously let them abuse his six-year-old son to which the excited Aussie replied: “Nice! That’s perfect. Who’s the guy? Would love to share one with you mate.”

“Haha. What I was hoping but didn’t want to come across as a pushy American,” the fake pervert wrote back.

Quinn confided that his preference was young boys between the ages of five and 10.

After weeks of communicating, Quinn prepared to board the plane to Los Angeles – but not without his concerns over the legitimacy of the group.

He wrote to McLellan and asked to meet up with the group and “party” before meeting with his underage victims.

“The only reason why I’d want to party is to know you’re not cops,” he said, seeking reassurance. “Have a pipe and show our c**** - something like that.”

“Lol. I get you. But we aren’t police,” the agent replied.

Quinn boarded the plane with his rugby team the following day, and two days after landing he caught an Uber to the hotel where the meeting was to take place.

To get him settled, the three undercover agents sipped bourbon while Quinn had a beer and ate Toy Story themed cupcakes.

Cartoon Network was playing on a television in the background, in preparation for the arrival of the children.

“I told him [Quinn] that he would always be nervous and excited, but that there was good stuff coming,” one of the agents wrote in a statement.

Quinn had allegedly brought with him a tripod and camera.

A fake pimp then entered the room and demanded cash before he would bring in the children.

The men handed over $260 each before police stormed the room and arrested everyone, including the agents.

A month after his arrest, Quinn fronted the US District Court in Los Angeles charged with travelling to the US for the purpose of illicit sexual conduct with a minor and attempted sex trafficking of a child.

On July 21, Quinn agreed to a plea deal that will sentence him to 10 to 13 years in a US prison.

He will face court again in October for sentencing.
