Homeowner catches 'ghost' walking through locked gate
A video taken from eerie black and white CCTV footage, appears to show a child-like ghostly figure walking through a locked gate in the middle of the night.
The video, captured on the Sunshine Coast, reveals a normal looking fence with a locked gate – when a figure appears to wander through it.
The footage scrambles, then cuts to the next frame, the gate can be seen sitting wide open.
Homeowner Chris Mitchell-Clare said he reviewed the footage after he had suspected someone was lurking around his home late at night.
He shared the video on Facebook asking what others thought of the eerie find.
The video sparked controversy as the footage appeared to be tampered with, due to the disruption of the feed and the time stamp showing it had skipped hours ahead after the interference.
However Mr Mitchell-Clare claimed people were using the top right time stamp as “an excuse” to make it look like it had been “fake and doctored”.
He went on to explain: “It’s the cameras time which I never set up and the top left timestamp is the DVR's timestamp to show exactly when the recording took place as it watermarks it.”
Regardless, the video has been viewed more than 6000 times since it was uploaded.
Mr Mitchell-Clare told The Sunshine Coast Daily: “If you're skeptical then that's your decision, but to me, I've seen to believe that this is just something most cannot explain.”
