Driver escapes crash between impatient oncoming car and a truck

A driver has narrowly missed a head-on collision after another car came hurtling towards the vehicle in an attempt to overtake a truck.

The driver, known as Jesse, described the incident in detail to Dash Cam Australia which left him incredibly shaken.

"It was an attempt to overtake the truck, in the wet at about 120kmph on a corner," he explained.

"[They were] going up a hill on a solid white line.

"I wanted to kick his head off his shoulders," he added, speaking of the impatient driver in the overtaking car.

"But honestly I was so shaken, and so happy that I was even alive that I didn't get a word out.

"If we connected, I wouldn't have survived, not a chance on earth."

Jesse's split second decision to swerve between both the car and the truck undoubtedly saved his life.

Facebook posters slammed the unknown driver of the oncoming car, telling Jesse exactly how lucky he had been to survive the incident.

"You should buy a lotto ticket mate," Neal Hotham advised. "[You are] one very lucky b*****d to have come out of that."

Simon Waters agreed. "Very sad to think someone would attempt to overtake in those circumstances," he wrote.
