Gold Coast mother loses fight to cancer after travelling to Mexico to undergo radical treatment

A young Gold Coast mother, who left her husband and toddler at home to undergo a radical cancer treatment in Mexico, has tragically died.

Jessica Gall, 26, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in October 2014 she underwent "successful" surgery and was given the all-clear by her doctor.

But her cancer returned in July 2015, just one a month after her own father, Peter, lost his seven-year battle with cancer.

"She had the surgery as advised by the doctor and after the surgery she was told it was successful and she had clear margins," Brooke Chamberlin wrote on a fundraising page set up for Mrs Gall.

The young mother began a worldwide search for alternative treatments after seeing conventional therapies, such as chemotherapy and radiation, failed for her father.

In November 2015, Mrs Gall spent more than four months away from her husband Eden and two-year-old boy Easton and travelled to China’s Renkang Hospital and then on to Germany.

None of the treatments worked and she was sent home “to die” on a morphine pain pump before learning about an immunotherapy treatment in Mexico.

She discovered that ablation immunotherapy treatment acts like a self-made vaccine which forces the body to attack tumors by stimulating an immune response.

The therapy involves injecting needles into the tumor, which then blast it with extreme heat or cold temperatures to allow the body’s system body’s immune system to fight the disease.

Mrs Gall travelled to Mexico with her sister Sacha nine weeks ago but was placed in intensive care after the treatment because she was so unwell.

She died on July 6, only six days before the anniversary of her father, leaving behind her loving husband and little boy.

While she travelled across the globe to save her life, her husband stayed behind to work and help pay tens of thousands of dollars to help cure his wife’s cancer.
