The shocking case dubbed the ‘Evil 8’ has been described by District Court Judge Philip Eaton as one of the most serious examples of child sexual abuse to ever come before a Western Australian.

A single Perth father, who cannot be named, met other men through online sites, including Craigslist, and then offered his daughter to the strangers to sexually violate.

On Thursday Impicciatore, one of the accused, appeared in court with his third lawyer, seeking another substantial adjournment.

Magistrate Stephen Heath said Impicciatore would only get a short adjournment as the matter had already been delayed 12 months.

“I’m not going to let him successfully delay the matter further,” Magistrate Heath said.

“The time has arrived.”

Magistrate Heath granted a ‘generous’ two-week adjournment to July 21, when Impicciatore must know what his plea will be.
His bail was extended.

Another man accused of abusing the girl, Ryan Trevor Clegg, has also appeared in the same court.

Clegg, 42, is charged with 61 offences including five counts of indecent dealing with a child, four counts of sexual penetration of a child and 48 counts of indecently recording a child.

Clegg’s case was adjourned to July 21 and his bail was also extended.

The girl’s father was jailed for more than 22 years.

Another abuser, Christian preacher David Volmer, 41, was jailed last year for 10 and a half years, after pleading guilty to 12 charges.

Volmer met up with the girl and her father three times in a city hotel and at her father’s home, where he raped the girl while her father sat in the same room.

The group involved had been dubbed the ‘Evil 8’ however one of the men initially named in the list had no involvement in the alleged pedophile ring.

The men were arrested following a tip-off in April 2015.
