Fitness model's mysterious death shatters bodybuilding community

A Gold Coast bodybuilder and fitness model has passed away in her sleep just hours after sharing a video on social media showing her preparing for her next workout.

Andy Page, 32, complained of a pain in her side before she went to bed on Saturday night and never made it to her workout.

Mrs Page's husband and competition judge Nathan Page confirmed the devastating news on his Facebook page on Wednesday in an emotional tribute to his wife.

"It is with our deepest sorrow to inform that Andy passed away in her sleep. No words can express this sudden and tragic event."

On his Instagram account Mr Page paid tribute to her again saying: "In memory of Andy Page. I love you baby."

The news of the beloved nutritionist's passing left the close-knit bodybuilding community shattered.

Jessica Viera was a close friend and client of Mrs Page who described her as one of the "greatest assets" of the Australian fitness industry.

"Australia has just lost a very inspiring woman, you have left a legacy behind you Andy, you touched and moved the souls of many including mine. It was such a privilege to have known you. I promise you I will do you so proud," Ms Viera wrote on her Instagram page.

"I knew Andy back in her surf and boxing days way before our fitness industry days and she has always been an inspiration with everything she pursued, a truly beautiful soul taken way too soon," Angie Moore wrote on Facebook.
