'Make dating great again': Dating site for Trump lovers

A dating site with a difference... where Donald supporters are coming up Trumps in finding love, something his fans have seemingly had difficulty with so far.

The service Trumpsingles.com was started by 35-year-old republican David Goss.

He was reportedly hanging out with friends when he came up with the idea.

One friend told him about her difficulty with dating when one man abandoned a dinner after she revealed her political views, according to the New York Post.

The social media accounts for the site say those who sign up can "meet amazing winners who support Trump!" and its aim is "Making dating great again!".

"We want to be an actual real dating site that helps people find real love," Mr Goss told the New York Post.

"I think there’s a special stigma when people say they’re supporting Trump, because of some of the brash things that he’s said," Mr Goss said.

"That immediately gets [projected] on his supporters, and it makes it hard for them when trying to date."

According to the publication the site went live in May and already has more than 500 users.

It is claimed that most who have joined are from Los Angeles, Washington, DC and New York City.

A Facebook page for the site is also becoming popular, with more than 10,000 likes as well.

Some users have reportedly told the founder Mr Goss that it takes away their anxiety about political differences when they go on a date.

One user, Richard, told the New York Post that he is looking for someone who shares his values as he just got out of a long term relationship where political views played a part in the breakup.

"Trump is bastardized and demonized in the media, so I kind of keep to myself that I’m a Trump supporter because people can have a violent reaction to it," Richard said.

And it will be even easier for Trump singles to connect soon, with a mobile app reportedly planned to be rolled out in the next week.
