Watch: Ute driver tries to crush cyclist during vicious dispute
A cyclist and driver go neck-to-neck in an argument over lanes, which ended in the driver colliding into the cyclist in a vicious road rage attack in Melbourne.
The encounter took place on King St near Flagstaff Gardens in west Melbourne on Monday 30th May.
A cyclist who goes by the name Sean H the road rage attack on his helmet cam and uploaded it to YouTube saying the incident took place moments after overtaking a slower cyclist.
In the video, the white Holden Rodeo ute veers into the cyclist’s lane multiple times and ties to drive him off the road and into the kerb.
“Get out of my f***ing lane you c***,” one man yells.
The other man replies back saying: “It is my f***ing lane.”
Neck-to-neck, the two curse at each other before they pull up next to each other at a set of lights.
A bystanders walk past in shock, the two continue to use expletive language and the furious cyclist points his camera into the ute to catch the driver’s fury.
In the description, the cyclist says the driver went out of his way to collide with his bike and attempted to run him off the road.
“For no reason at all and without warning a d***head tradie in a Holden Rodeo ute came up alongside and tried to run me off the road,” Sean wrote.
“He claimed I was not entitled to ride in the lane and I should get out of his way!” he said.
“Some drivers don't deserve to have a licence.”
