Charge laid over vulgar racist rant aimed at former Senator Nova Peris
A Central Coast chiropractor has been charged following an alleged offensive vicious online attack calling Senator Nova Peris a “black c***."
On Saturday, Facebook user Chris Nelson sent Senator Peris a direct message appearing to call her "black c***" and telling her to "go back to the bush," sparking international outrage.
Detectives from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were made aware of the posts and arrested the 64-year-old man at a chiropractic business in Woy Woy on Monday.
The man was taken to Gosford Police Station where Nelson was charged with use carriage service (telecommunications) to cause offence.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 21 June 2016.
One of two racist messages, which were sent from the account read: "Nova F*** off. You were only endorsed by Juliar(sic) because you were a black c***."
"Go back to the bush and suck on witchity grubs and yams. Stop painting your f***ing face with white s*** in parliament."
"Other than being a runner you are nothing."
But the malicious comments didn't stop here, the man's went on to tell Senator Peris she would have been raped by her own father.
"Why don't you go and spend some time at Arrakun with the rest of your a** mates belting the crap out of one another," the troll wrote.
"I am not sorry for what has happened in the past if it wasn't for the non existent stolen generation you would probably have been raped by your father another male relative or worse still been killed."
"So as I've said before f*** off you black c*** we don't need or want you."
The chiropractor received community awards as a Rotarian over two decades.

Nelson earlier denied calling Senator Peris a "black c***" and told News Corp he was in fact the victim of an “extremely vicious” Facebook hack attack.
He claims he was horrified when he saw the comments that were sent from his account and says he has had death threats since.
“I found out about this about 5.30 on Saturday afternoon when Facebook sent me a notification that someone had spammed my account," the chiropractor said.
“I was clearly hacked. I’m the victim of a really horrible and extremely vicious hacking.”
