Salim Mehajer’s sister Aiisha sets sights on pageant glory as she graduates as teacher

Salim Mehajer’s sister Aiisha has just graduated as a teacher and announced her intention to compete in the inaugural ‘Pageant of the World’ competition.

Endeavouring to follow in the footsteps of her baby sister Mary, who was recently crowned Miss Lebanon Australia, Aiisha will represent Lebanon in the upcoming multicultural pageant.

She will do so with a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching under her cap, the Daily Mail reported.

Ms Mehajer took to Instagram to show off her graduation garb, as she sets out on a master’s degree while also maintaining her position as co-director in the family’s Mehajer Beauty Bar.

She said she was “honoured to be selected in representing Lebanon in the Pageant of the World”, which is due to take place in Sydney next month.

The event claims to “radically veer away” from the “traditional notion of beauty pageant” with greater focus on charity and socio-economic deeds”.

The family has never been too far from the limelight since her brother Salim’s extravagant wedding last year and subsequent scandals in relation to his business dealings and position as deputy mayor of Sydney’s Auburn council.

Controversy even followed Mary Mehajer’s crowning as Miss Lebanon Australia, with some claiming it was ‘rigged’ and heavily influenced by her brother’s sponsorship of the event.

The 18-year-old has since defended her title and said she won it fairly.
