Two couples brawl in Adelaide hospital waiting room
Disturbing CCTV footage showing a violent fight break out between two couples inside an Adelaide hospital has been released by a homeless advocacy group.
The footage was filmed in the Royal Adelaide Hospital emergency department waiting room and uploaded to YouTube by the Adelaide Homeless Journal on May 18.
The YouTube clip shows a man entering the waiting room with a woman, before he picks up speed and darts across the floor.
He can be seen charging at another couple, before he starts to throw punches.
Adelaide Advertiser reports that the fight occurred in November 2015.
The force of the fight sees chairs move across the floor, as the couple fall to the ground and are hit with at least six punches.
Another man wearing a hat tries to break the group up by dragging the instigator away.
Two security guards and another person then join him in the attempt to pull the couples apart.
The brawl unfolded in front of shocked onlookers.
A South Australian Nursing spokeswoman told the Advertiser the fight was ‘disgraceful’.
“Our message is a simple one — if you don’t care for us, we simply cannot care for you,” she said.
