Security pictures show missing Adelaide father hours before disappearance

7 News has obtained exclusive security pictures of missing Adelaide man Michael Modesti, just hours before his suspected murder.

The images show the 33-year-old withdrawing money from an ATM at the Welland plaza after 1pm on Mother's Day, which is the last date he made contact with loved ones.

Mr Modesti appears to be alone in the vision.

An hour and a half later the father-of-one was seen driving on North Terrace near the casino, before dropping his 4-year-old son off to his ex-partner.

When he returned to his Beverley home, he had a pizza delivered and then, at 10:45pm, mr Modesti called his girlfriend to say goodnight.

Police are investigating whether he was lured from his home, as well as his involvement in a drug trafficking ring.

Neighbours are alarmed by both possibilities.

A trip Mr Modesti took to Thailand a few days before he went missing remains a major focus of the police investigation.
