In the four-minute video, the mother-of-two records herself in her car opening a secret birthday present that she’s bought just for herself.

Ms Payne builds immense anticipation for her new item’s big reveal, even insisting she'll let her children Duncan and Cadence play with it.

"I'm really excited to share with you something I got," Ms Payne says, wearing a Death Star T-shirt.

“I’d like to say I bought this for my son,” she adds.

“But at the end of the day, it’s mine and I’m gonna keep it for my own.

“I’m not a bad mum, I’m not a jerk, but at the end of the day it doesn’t go in their toy box, it goes in my room.”

After a few exciting moments of unboxing, she unveils her new treasure: an electronic Chewbacca mask.

The giddy mother slides it on and opens her mouth in laughter, causing the mask to let out an electronic Wookiee cry, followed by one of the most hysterical laughs that characterises an ecstatic child on their birthday.

Ms Payne's infectious cackling continues as she tells the camera: "That's not me making the sound, it's the mask!"

Every time the giddy mother laughs, the masks makes a Wookiee howl, setting the mother off again.

The video was so infectious even Peter Mayhew, the actor who plays Chewbacca in the movies, had to comment on Reddit.

"Absolutely wonderful! Cheers," Mr Mayhew wrote.
