Cyclist mows down 'dirty' would-be robbers who assaulted teen in brazen daylight attack

A pair of "dirty" would-be robbers were no match for a Polish cyclist who used his bike to make a smooth citizen's arrest following a daylight bag snatching.

The handlebar footage was posted to YouTube showing the Good Samaritan's speedy and smooth takedown in Wrocław, Poland.

According to the cyclist, he heard a woman's screams for help while he was riding inside a tunnel.

"I decided to jump the lights to find out what was happening," he said.

Upon turning around the corner, a 17-year-old girl told him two female thieves stole her purse and "beat her" before fleeing through the city of Old Town.

The cyclist raced across a busy intersection, ran down the pair of brazen thieves, and knocked them to the ground.

He said the two thieves, aged 17 and 20, were "dirty and sloppy" and had many scars on their hands.

"I could smell that they were drunk," the cyclist said, adding the two women began threatening him.

"F*** off, if you touch me I'll bite you," they told the cyclist while trying to escape.

"I'll punch you in the face."

The Good Samaritan said no one was seriously injured in the incident and he stayed with the women until police arrived and arrested the two of them.

"I didn't run them over," the cyclist that he jumped from the bike, tripped over the bike and managed catch the bag.

The cyclist admitted that he "broke the Polish road law in order to restore victim's property and catch criminals."

According to local media, the two thieves were under the influence of drugs and have been previously convicted and now face up to 12 years in prison.
