Hero toddler brandishes pole and defends grandmother against Chinese authorities
A toddler is being hailed as a miniature hero for defending his grandmother from Chinese urban management officers who were trying to clamp down on illegal street vendors.
Throughout the video, onlookers can be heard laughing in the background as the little boy picks up a long steel pipe, wielding it like a weapon.
The brave toddler can be heard repeatedly yelling: "Don't touch my grandma! Go away, don’t touch my grandma."
The chengguan - China's public officials - tried to make the toddler sit on a sofa and calm down, but he was was not being compliant.
The short clip went viral on social media on Thursday and has been viewed over 2 million times with the majority of users complimenting the little boy's brazen contempt toward authority.
“This is just so funny! cute!” one user commented on Weibo.
"Wow, this kid’s future sure will be promising” another person commented.
It is not known what actions were taken upon the toddler and his elderly kin.
