Tourists watch on in horror as teen girl killed by train while taking selfie
A teenage girl has died after being hit by a train while taking a selfie near a railroad track in Foshan, China.
The 19-year-old student was visiting a rose garden in Liantang village, a popular spot among tourists, when the tragedy occurred.
Visitors captured the horrifying moment on camera as the teen was clipped and swept under the wheels.
Photographs taken before the tragedy show the teen, dressed in a blue skirt and white top, posing in front of the camera as the train approaches behind her.
She reportedly wanted to capture the passing train in the background, and ignored blaring horns from the locomotive and warnings from people around her.
The woman suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead by paramedics, who arrived within 20 minutes of the accident.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
